is born
November 14th – A plane carrying most of the
Marshall University Football team crashes just short of landing near
Huntington, West Virginia, killing all 75 passengers onboard, including 37
players. Incredibly, the crash follows a
similar incident just six weeks earlier when approximately half of the Wichita
State University Team were killed on their way to a game at Utah State
University.
