6/14/64 – Ringo Starr rejoins The Beatles in Melbourne, Australia, after recovering from tonsillitis. More than 250,000 fans turned out to greet the group on its first visit to Australia … but things got a bit out of hand and when all was said and done, over 100 of those fans required hospital treatment for the injuries they incurred in the massive crowd.
