60 YEARS AGO TODAY:
1/16/65 – “Shakin’ All Over” is released as a single in the US under the name of The Guess Who?
The band is actually Canadians Chad Allan and the Expressions but the record label thought that by adding a little mystery to this release, some listeners might think this was a new British band … so they simply put “Guess Who?” on the record label … and the record became a Top 20 Hit. (The original hit WAS by a British band, Joe Kidd and the Pirates … but that version failed to chart here in The States.)
The Guess Who would enjoy their greatest chart success when Burton Cummings joins the band two years later.
Also on 1/16, the last episode of “The Outer Limits” airs on ABC-TV

Today, January 16, is National Nothing Day!
You can celebrate any way you want! Or don’t want!
But to help you get into the Proper Void of Official Forgotten Hits Nothingness, here’s my “National Nothing Day Chuck Buell Minute Medley!”
CB ( which stands for Nothing-But Calm Boy!” )
Just be careful out there ...
Because as Peter, Paul and Mary warned us, Too Much Of Nothing isn't necessarily always a good thing! (kk)
