THE SATURDAY SURVEY / February 8th, 1965

 THE CHART:

The Righteous Brothers remain at #1 for a second week while Petula Clark also holds on to her #2 position.

In fact, there is only one new entry into this week's Top Ten as Jay and the Americans' "Let's Lock The Door (And Throw Away The Key)" creeps up from #12 to #10.

Truth be told, we don't really see a major, significant move until we get down to #25, where Roger Miller moves up 16 spots with his latest, "King Of The Road."

Jewel Akens is up 18 places with "The Birds And The Bees," this week's #30 Hit, and Gerry and the Pacemakers move up 27 spots with their soundtrack hit, "Ferry 'Cross The Mersey."

Little Anthony and the Imperials seem to have a solid hit with their latest, "Hurt So Bad," which moves up 22 places from #70 to #48.

And, speaking of movie music, Shirley Bassey's vocal version of "Goldfinger," the them from the new James Bond thriller, jumps from #80 to #64, a move of 16 places.  In addition, there are instrumental versions of this tune at #70 (Billy Strange) and #98 by Jack LaForge and his Orchestra.
