June 15th, 1970

"My Baby Loves Lovin'" holds on to the #1 spot this week as "Love Land" and "Ride Captain Ride" inch ever closer.  "Lay Down (Candles In The Rain)," "Ball Of Confusion," "Mama Told Me (Not To Come)," "Question" and "The Love You Save" are all viable threats at this point to take over the throne.

Just outside The Top Ten, The Beatles are now at #11 (and WCFL is still showing "For You Blue" as the A-Side ... I just don't get it!) while Freda Payne's "Band Of Gold" makes a noticeable ten point leap from #27 to #17.

The biggest mover of the week seems to be "O-o-h Child" by The Five Stairsteps, a Chicago group who climb 13 places from #37 to #24 this week.

As for new songs on the chart, I particularly like "Tighter, Tighter" by Alive and Kicking, a song written and produced by Tommy James.  And I've always been partial to "Teach Your Children" by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, too.
