60 YEARS AGO TODAY:
8/18/64 - The Beatles arrive in San Francisco, California, on their second US visit, and first cross-country tour, encompassing 32 shows in 25 cities over 31 days.
Over 9000 fans turned up to greet them at the airport, and The Beatles had to be driven into a protective fence enclosure so that photographers could take pictures. However, that didn’t stop the fans, who continued to press against the fencing until it ultimately gave way. Fortunately, The Beatles were able to get out split-seconds before it came crashing down. (Ah, the joys of touring!)
But SIXTY EIGHT YEARS AGO Today, Elvis went all the way to #1 ... and then stayed there for ELEVEN WEEKS ... with THIS monster hit ...
So it was easy accepting Chuck Buell's latest challenge ...
Hey, Kent!
Here's a Great Singing and Dancing Routine for you and our Forgotten Hits Family -
if you're not too chicken to post it!
It's "Five Hot Chicks Singing Don't Be Cruel" bedecked only in Feathers!
Whew!
Hit it, Girls!
Ahhh ... ELVIS and THE BEATLES ...
Does it get any better than this??? (kk)
