THE SATURDAY SURVEY

The Supremes and J. Frank Wilson and the Cavaliers hang on to the #1 and #2 positions with (respectively) "Baby Love" and "Last Kiss."  Meanwhile, The Shangri-Las' new hit, "Leader Of The Pack," leap frogs over "Have I The Right" into the #3 position, making it now the most likely candidate to take over the top spot once The Supremes are finished with their run.  (The Supremes' new record, "Come See About Me," debuts on the chart this week at #78.)

"Ringo," the unlikely hit by television star Lorne Greene, is up 20 places to #11 ... and British acts The Zombies and The Kinks continue to make strides as "She's Not There" climbs to #12 this week and "You Really Got Me" settles into the #15 position.

Meanwhile, Easy Listening Music seems to be doing all right this week as Dean Martin now sits at #6 with his latest, "The Door Is Still Open To My Heart," while Bobby Vinton is up 16 places to #18 with "Mr. Lonely" and Ronnie Dove makes a big leap from #50 to #33 with "Right Or Wrong."

Johnny Rivers looks like he's got a big hit in the making with his new version of "Mountain Of Love" ... it climbs from #59 to #32, a move of 27 places.

And last week we told you to keep your eye on the new one by The Four Seasons ...

Well, this week "Big Man In Town" leaps from #79 to #45 ... that's a jump of 34 spots!
