“Godzilla X Kong” begins showing at a Theater near you today, March 29th, 2024.

The Original “King Kong” movie was released over 90 years ago on April 7, 1933.

One could see it for around 25 cents!

Today, one can see King Kong in IMAX for around Twenty Dollars!

For that price to see a movie, I'd probably jump off the Empire State Building, too!

"Hey, Dad! Can I have 65 bucks to take a date to the movie and have a drink and popcorn for each of us?!"

I have to admit that we're somewhat looking forward to seeing this one up on the big screen ... IMax (in 3-D if it's available!!!) I just think it'll be quite the spectacle to see.

We don't venture out to the theater that often anymore ... SO many disappointments these last few years ... we're finding MUCH more enjoyable viewing right here at home on the small screen ... better writing, better acting, better character studies ... and, of course, that great "Pause / Bathroom Break" option!!!

But we'll see this one (in a couple of weeks after all the hype dies down ... it really IS the talk of the town here!) kk

HA! Yeah! I agree! I've often said that when watching a movie at home, the location is better, the seats more comfortable, the concessions cheaper, the food better and the bathroom is clean and never crowded!

BTW, here's something you might find interesting when you do go to the movies. (This is actually good for any movie wherever you watch it, in the theater or at home.)

I use it occasionally just for the basics like reading a synopsis, watching a trailer, being alerted if there's anything fun following the closing credits, what does Rotten Tomatoes think, how long the movie is, etc., but there's a lot more!

It's a phone app called "RunPee!"

As its name suggests, it notes certain times that it's OK to go to the bathroom during a movie and not really miss any storyline or action. It'll sum up what you'd miss! I don't leave a movie in progress myself (doing instead what my Mom taught me as a young boy; "Now go before the movie begins so you don't have to go during the movie!)

I sometimes still have an issue even doing that because the beverages are so big these days!
