3/15/66 – Sandy Posey records “Born A Woman”


Also 3/15, big winners at this years Grammy Awards include “A Taste Of Honey” (Record of the Year ... believe it or not, it beat "Yesterday"), Tom Jones (Best New Artist), Barbra Streisand (Best Vocal Performance, Female) and Frank Sinatra (Best Vocal Performance, Male)  Sinatra also won the Album Of The Year honors for his "September Of My Years" LP, which beat "The Sound Of Music" Soundtrack, "Whipped Cream And Other Delights"and "My Name Is Barbra."  In addition to losing the Record Of The Year award, "Yesterday," the most recorded song in history, also lost the Song of the Year Award to "The Shadow Of Your Smile."
