For the past three years, we've been trying to put together a decent tribute / remembrance of the brief merger of two of Chicago's premier bands of the '60's and '70's ... but have never been able to get the participation we needed to come up with a piece worth reading!!!
This year ALL of that has changed ... as SEVERAL members of the short-lived Ides - Shames Union have agreed to share their memories with our Forgotten Hits Readers.
The Cryan' Shames and The Ides of March are just two of our local musical heroes ... and achieved far greater success here in The Windy City than they did on the national charts ... but a few of these hits did, in fact, "cross over" in a very big way.
This weekend, we'll be taking a look (and giving a listen) to a few of them.
