The Young Rascals make a HUGE leap from #19 to #4 with their latest, "Groovin'", as "Sweet Soul Music" by Arthur Conley holds at #3. The Buckinghams move up two places from #7 to #5. "I Got Rhythm" by The Happenings hits The Top Ten for the first time, moving rom #14 to #8.
Aretha Franklin continues her climb up the chart, this week moving from #25 to #13 with "Respect". Engelbert Humperdinck jumps from #23 to #15 with "Release Me" and "Creeque Alley" by The Mamas and the Papas and "Here Comes My Baby" by The Tremeloes both break into The Top 20 with jumps from #31 to #19 and #27 to #20 respectively.
Other big Top 40 movers include "Mirage" by Tommy James and the Shondells (up twenty places from #42 to #22), "Him Or Me - What's It Gonna Be" by Paul Revere and the Raiders (also up twenty places from #43 to #23), "All I Need" by The Temptations, up 25 places from #50 to #25 and "Six O'Clock" by The Lovin' Spoonful, which climbs 24 places from #54 to #30.
#1 on the album chart this week is "More Of The Monkees", now in its 14th week atop the charts.
