It was our youngest grandson's very first birthday party so there was no way we were going to miss that!
But another full house, sell-out crowd braved the snow ... that's right, SNOW ... in APRIL!!! ... and filled The Arcada to watch The Buckinghams, The Ides Of March, The Cryan' Shames, The New Colony Six and The Shadows Of Knight relive their greatest hits, live on stage.
And just because we weren't there, that doesn't mean we can't bring you some of the excitement experienced by the crowd that night.
Thanks to Photo Ninja Kristie Mayfair Schram, we've got a bunch of live action photos to share with you today. (Thank you so much, Kristie!)
And now, on with the show!
Once again, The Ides Of March, led by Jim Peterik and celebrating their 55th year performing together, provided the back-up for all of the other acts (save The Buckinghams, who closed the show with their own self-contained unit), in addition to performing their own killer set of material that always gets the crowd going.
Jimy Sohns of The Shadows Of Knight got things rolling ...
And The Cryan' Shames seemed to be enjoying themselves up on stage! (That's Hook and Toad ... aka Jimmy Pilster and Tom Doody ... keeping things moving by performing some of their biggest hits)
The New Colony Six brought us BOTH lead vocalists who sang their hits back in the day ... Ray Graffia, Jr. and Ronnie Rice ...
And then The Buckinghams (who had FIVE Top 40 Hits in 1967 alone!) closed the show, led by original members Carl Giammarese and Nick Fortuna.
From start to their final bows, this was another killer Cornerstones show.
We hated to miss it (can you believe that it's been over a year since I last went to one of these performances?!?!) ...
But they'll all be back in November to do it again for the Arcada crowd. (Tickets are available now ... complete information on The Arcada website at www.oshows.com)
