Make it THREE weeks at #1 for Edwin Starr's "War" ... it holds Diana Ross at #2 for the second week in a row with her latest, "Ain't No Mountain High Enough."
Meanwhile, there's some new competition on the horizon as "25 or 6 to 4" by Chicago climbs from #7 to #3 and "Cottage Cheese" by Crow moves up a notch from #5 to #4.
#'s 7 - 13 all earn asterisks this week as "Big 10 Climbers" ... the biggest movers in the bunch include "Neanderthal Man" by Hotlegs (up 15 places from #27 to #12) and "Lookin' Out My Back Door" and "Solitary Man," both of which are up eight places.
Crabby Appleton and Tom Jones make HUGE leaps this week (from #35 to #22 for "Go Back," a move of 13 places) and from #38 to #23 (a jump of 15 spots) for "I (Who Have Nothing)."
I'm also partial to the #26 song this week, "Do What You Wanna Do" by Five Flights Up. We have featured this track as a Forgotten Hit several times in the past and it ALWAYS wins over new fans or rekindles long lost memories of a track that hasn't been in rotation for probably 30-50 years.
Check out the #37 debut for Ernie from Sesame Street with "Rubber Duckie"!!! Yep ... you're going to find a little bit of EVERYTHING on this week's chart!!!
