As expected, The Partridge Family make a HUGE leap this week, from #26 to #15 ... it's most certainly headed for #1.
Meanwhile, "Mongoose" and "The King Of Rock And Roll," two of last week's featured debuts, make significant moves as well, climbing from #29 to #20 and #30 to #22 respectively.
But the BIGGEST mover of the week belongs to Bobby Trend, whose "Good Day" climbs from #39 to #26, a jump of 13 places. (I couldn't hum a line of this tune if my life depended on it!!!) Does ANYBODY out there remember this one? It spent six weeks on the WCFL Chart and ultimately peaked at #19. Crazier yet, it never charted AT ALL on ANY of the national charts ... making me think again that somebody was pocketing a chunk of change to make this record a hit here in Chicago ... and it had to be a 'CFL thing, because WLS didn't chart it at all.)

WCFL charted this on the local Ivanhoe Record Label (I believe Ray Graffia, Jr.'s post-New Colony Six band, the RJM Band, recorded for Ivanhoe, if I'm not mistaken) ... but YouTube clips show it on the Metromedia Record Label, so it must have gotten picked up by a larger distributor. Still, it never even so much as "bubbled under" nationally, so I'm guessing this was much more of a local thing. You can check it out below ...
