Considered a MAJOR breakthrough in television programming, All In The Family was nothing short of revolutionary … and was soon the #1 show in the country.
The opening theme, sung by Archie and Edith Bunker (series stars Carroll O’Connor and Jean Stapleton), was even released as a single in 1971. (Awful as it was … by design, mind you ... it managed to reach #43 in Billboard!)
That theme moves up one notch in this year's TV Themes Favorites Poll.
