FH Reader SAM WARD tells us about a great site that offers up just about any kind of music you might like to listen to ... with a wide variety of choices to choose from.
Hi there Kent,
As much as you are into music and keep up with all kinds of music happenings all over the world, I can't imagine that you don't already know this, but just in case you don't, there is a website out there called AccuRadio in which one of the many oldies channels offered is called Oldies '67 channel.
The URL for this amazing website is: https://www.accuradio.com/oldies/

While it's true that there were a couple of repeats, when these songs were out, they got repeated a lot on the radio stations we listened to, especially the number 1 song, which usually got played every hour.
As you can see, there were a number of British hits from '67 that weren't hits here
but they were featured on this channel, and they really went pretty deep into both the blues, the classic rock and the soul genres of music, so you can see that this channel is not limited to the top forty hits of that year.
Kent, I'm sure you are happy to see that both the Buckinghams and the Cryan' Shame were represented in my more than two hours of listening to this channel. Now, each time you tune into this channel, the songs will be completely different.

Surprise Me: Let us choose a Oldies channel for you!
There are even more selections than I've shown here. And here's the real kicker ...
If you sign up with them, which I think is free, you can create your own channel of oldies by blending any two, three or more channels of theirs together, and if there's a song you don't like, you can skip it, and I think it will remember that, and skip it the next time you launch your own channel.
And just to show you how massive this service is, Oldies is just one of many different genres of music that are offered. There are a couple of short advertising breaks during each hour, but it's not like radio where you will hear eight or ten
commercials in a row.
So oldies lovers, I hope you find this interesting ... I certainly have.
The next day I checked out the 1966 channel and that was equally interesting, and I also checked out the original versions channel. A lot of the music was somewhat later than I am interested in, but they still surprised me with a few songs, like the original version of All Shook Up by David Hill, Istanbul (Not Constantinople), The Four Lads, I've Got My Mind Set on You, James Ray and Love Hurts by the Everly Brothers.
Take care,
Sam
I played around with this a little bit on Sunday and found a wide variety of choices to choose from ...
DEFINITELY worth a visit or two ... or more. Check it out, oldies music fans! (kk)
