Once again we find the usual suspects at the top of the chart ...
"Alone Again (Naturally)" holds on to the #1 spot in Bangor, Maine, while "Brandy" by Looking Glass is still clinging to #2. The Carpenters' hit "Goodbye To Love" is still a Top Three Record here on the East Coast while Donna Fargo has got to be The Happiest Girl In The Whole USA as her big record continues to climb by leaps and bounds, this week moving from #11 to #5.
Paul Simon's "Duncan" is a much bigger hit here than it was nationally (where it peaked at #50!), while "I'm Coming Home" by Stories is once again a Top 20 Record. (How on earth did this one only get to #42 in Billboard??? It DID reach #26 in Cash Box, however!)
"The Guitar Man," "Black And White" and "Baby, Don't Get Hooked On Me" don't seem to be climbing as fast on WABI as we've seen on other stations ... each make minor moves of only a few places ... while "Popcorn" is just first premiering on the chart (after already proven to be a sizeable hit elsewhere in the country.)
