For the next couple of days, anyway.
Why do we let him do it?, you ask (as so many of you have) ...
Because I just don't have the time, patience or interest to keep track of all these national holidays ...
So we're fortunate enough to have Chuck around to remind us from time to time!
And THIS time around, he's come up with a couple of doozies that serve, if nothing else, as not only cause for celebration ...
But also as a tribute to the great Jimmy Buffett ... who just recently left us.
So today ... enjoy Ground Chuck's tribute to The Cheeseburger in Paradise ...
And tomorrow, we can all take part in the celebration of of A Pirate Looking At 40! (or something to that effect!!!) lol
Today, September 18, 2023, is “National Cheeseburger Day!”
His “Cheese Hamburger” quickly became popular with customers, and the Rite Spot in Pasadena is considered to be the birthplace of the Cheeseburger. The first instance of the Cheeseburger appearing on a menu was just a few years later, in 1928, at O'Dell's in Los Angeles, where they sold one with chili for 25 cents.
And, in 1935, Louis Ballast, owner of the Humpty Dumpty Drive-In in Denver, Colorado, was awarded the trademark for the name “Cheeseburger.”
Fast-forward to today when over 50 Billion Burgers are enjoyed by Forgotten Hitters, their Families, Friends and Associates each year!
However, for those of you who want a “Cheese Hamburger” but “Hold the Cheese, Please,” National Hamburger Day, will be next May 28th.
For the others, who like me, like a Nice, Big, Juicy Cheeseburger, here is my “National Cheeseburger Day Chuck Buell Minute Medley!”
