60 YEARS AGO TODAY:
2/23/64 - The Beatles make their third appearance on
"The Ed Sullivan Show.” (These
performances were actually taped on February 9th, prior to their television debut,
as by now The Beatles were back in England.)
For this appearance, the boys performed “Twist And Shout,” “Please
Please Me” and “I Want To Hold Your Hand.” Sullivan gave them a very nice send off ... it was most definitely a win/win situation for all parties concerned!
