(He was "Proud To Be An American" YEARS before Lee Greenwood ... and let it be known to all who would listen that we should thank our lucky stars every single day to be able to live the life of freedom that we enjoy here in The United States.)

But war protesting was at an all-time high as more and more Americans began to question what we were doing in Viet Nam. Every night on the evening news we watched our children come home in body bags ... and folks began to wonder just whose war this really was.
