The Addrisi Brothers' hit "We've Got To Get It On Again" has been showing up on virtually every chart we've featured so far this year. Here, on the KFSA chart from Fort Smith, Arkansas, it's up eight places and sitting just outside The Top Ten at #11.
You'll also find some REAL rarities on their Prevues list ...
"California Wine" by Bobby Goldsboro, "Love Is Here And Now You're Gone" by Michael Jackson, "Take A Look Around" by The Temptations, "A Long Way To Go" by Ashton, Gardner and Dyke, "The Monkey Time" by our FH Buddy Al Kooper, "Brother Tree" by The Rascals, "Sugaree" by Jerry Garcia (!), "Sing A Song" by David Clayton Thomas and "Jambalaya" by The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.
In fact, the only bonafide hit here is "Suavecito" by Malo, a personal favorite that topped the chart here in Chicago a few weeks later.
And when have you EVER seen a note on a survey that reads: "Michael Jackson's song 'Rockin' Robin' is not as good as the flip side ... Try it ... You'll like it!!!"
AMAZING!
(For the record, Goldsboro's "California Wine" peaked at #108 in Billboard, "Love Is Here And Now You're Gone," a remake of the 1967 Diana Ross and the Supremes hit, is the Michael Jackson B-Side they're referring to (and I can't say that I agree with their assessment), the Ashton, Gardner and Dyke song, the Al Kooper song and The Rascals song never charted nationally at all, Jerry Garcia's solo hit peaked at #94, David Clayton-Thomas' "Sing A Song" stopped at #112 in Billboard (imagine that ... BOTH former lead singers of Blood, Sweat And Tears with records on KFSA's Prevue List!!) and the NGDB version "Jambalaya" peaked at #84 in Billboard. Only The Temptations' hit, "Take A Look Around," made a respectable showing, peaking at #30, save Malo's #18 hit, "Suavecito.")
