It's Time To Vote For Your All-Time Favorite Songs Of Summer!

We did it in 2001 ... and then again in 2006 ...

And now we're asking you again ...

What are your all-time
"Summer Favorites"???

Over the years, we've found that "summer songs" don't necessarily have to have the word "summer" in them ... or even have to have been released in the three hottest months of the year. (Let's face it ... there aren't many songs on the planet that evoke as much summer spirit as "Fun Fun Fun" by The Beach Boys ... and that record came out in FEBRUARY!!!)

So we want to know YOUR favorites ...

What songs best symbolize

Summer Fun

in YOUR eyes and ears?!?!

Get your votes and nominees in NOW ...

And then check The Forgotten Hits Web Site on June 21st ...

The Official First Day Of Summer ...

to see the results.

(We're even talking with a couple of radio stations right now about airing a special Top 40 Summer Songs Countdown ... and we hope to have some more details for you very soon on this front, too!)

Nominate and Vote for up to Ten of your All-Time Summer Favorites ...

... and help us pick The All-Time Greatest Songs Of Summer, 2010!

Got this from one of our readers last week ...
Kent ...
Andre Dawson played center field, John Fogerty sang "Centerfield", and in an unusual twist, both will be honored at the Baseball Hall Of Fame induction
ceremony July 25. John Fogerty will perform " Centerfield " to kick off the
ceremony and then be honored to mark to mark the 25th anniversary of the song's release.
Fogerty said "I had no idea the song would ever be adopted by baseball. I'm overwhelmed and truly humbled."
His recording of "Centerfield" has been played at the Cooperstown induction for more than a decade.

Talk about your great songs of summer ... "Centerfield" is certainly one of them. How about "Hot Fun In The Summertime" by Sly and the Family Stone? "Summer Nights" from Grease? Or simply "Summer" by War. "Groovin'" by The Young Rascals? "In The Summertime" by Mungo Jerry"? Big Summer Hits like "Satisfaction", "All You Need Is Love", "Born To Be Wild" or "Light My Fire"? "Wipe Out"? How about "Heat Wave" or "Dancing In The Street" by Martha and the Vandellas? "Summer In The City"? "Summer of '69"? Nearly EVERYTHING by The Beach Boys, The Boys Of Summer, would qualify ... as would "The Boys Of Summer" by Don Henley! "Summertime Summertime" by The Jamies ... or "Summertime Blues" by Eddie Cochran!

SO many great songs to choose from! Let us know your favorites.

And DeeJays, please help us to compile the most complete list possible by asking YOUR listeners to visit the website and vote, too. We'd love to get as many votes as possible in order to determine your TRUE Summer Favorites.

Send your votes to kk@forgottenhits.com or forgottenhits@aol.com ... and then be sure to check back for the results on June 21st!
