THE SATURDAY SURVEY

The Supremes score their fourth straight #1 Hit as "Stop! In The Name Of Love" jumps two places to knock The Beatles out of the top spot.  (They fall to #4 this week.)

Hot on their heels are Herman's Hermits, who climb three spots of their own with their latest chart hit, "Can't You Hear My Heartbeat."

Freddie and the Dreamers make another tremendous climb as "I'm Telling You Now" flies from #43 to #12 (a move of 31 places!)

Another record to watch is "Go Now" by The Moody Blues ...

It moves up fifteen notches to #27.

Another British act making major strides this week is Wayne Fontana and the Mindbenders ...

Their new hit "Game Of Love" climbs from #67 to #35, a 32 point move.

3/22/65 – Bob Dylan’s first electric album (“Bringing It All Back Home”) is released


The LP contains some of Dylan's best-known and most memorable tracks ...


The Byrds' take on Dylan's "Mr. Tambourine Man" would launch their career just a few short months later ...
 
While Dylan himself would enjoy his first Top 40 chart success with "Subterranean Homesick Blues," a classic in its own right.
