THE SATURDAY SURVEY

"Eve Of Destruction" holds on to the #1 spot for the second week in a row ... and there are five other bulleted songs in the Top Ten this week:  "You Were On My Mind" (#2), "Hang On Sloopy" (#3), "The In Crowd (#5), "Catch Us If You Can" (#8) and "Laugh At Me" (#9).

Meanwhile, "Treat Her Right" is up 14 places, "Do You Believe In Magic" is up 18 places, as is "Some Enchanted Evening," while "Just A Little Bit Better" by Herman's Hermits jumps 39 SPOTS in just its second week on the chart.  (This just may be their next #1 record!)

"Yesterday" by The Beatles has an impressive #39 debut ... although, quite honestly, I expected it to come in higher ... there has been an awful lot of hype and excitement about this record as The Beatles are suddenly being looked at in a totally new light by the "older generation."

An answer song by The Spokesman (featuring our FH Buddy John Madara,) "The Dawn Of Correction," jumps thirty points to #49 while "A Lover's Concerto" by The Toys is up 33 spots to #55.  (It's a bit of "classical pop!")

I also like this week's #76 debut, "Everyone's Gone To The Moon" by Jonathan King.
