Rich Appel’s annual Top TV Themes Countdown has just been announced … and, with more voters than ever, there’s been some shuffling of the favorite tunes this year!
Spurred largely by the death of Rob Reiner, the theme to “All In The Family,” “Those Were The Days,” leaped to #2 … and “Gilligan’s Island” reached the top spot for the first time this year. (Only three other themes have ever topped Rich’s list … “Hawaii Five-O,” which has been OUR Top TV Theme in all of our Forgotten Hits Readers Polls, “Love Is All Around,” the theme from “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” and “Where Everybody Knows Your Name,” the theme from “Cheers.”

Giving another shout out to our FH Buddy Sam Tallerico ...
His LAFOS (Lost And Found Oldies Show) consistently mixes the popular hits of the day alongside records that for one reason or another failed to make the grade. (I swear I end up downloading two or three songs every week after listening to his show.)
His latest show salutes music from this week in 1971 ... and features some GREAT tunes!
You can find a whole bunch of 'em here ...

>>>Dear, Casey, Is it too late to have you ask Shelley if she'd be my long distance Valentine for this year? Signed, CB (Curious Boy in Colorado.)
I have been waiting, but it is obvious Casey is preoccupied and will not be contacting me so let's agree that I was your long distance Valentine for this year ... but it is all over now. (Valentine's Day 2026)

Lovin’ the Super Charts …
Top 40 days with my transistor radio!
Just reviewing the list is

Sorry to hear that Peter Asher has had to cancel a few of his upcoming appearances due to a new injury to his leg and ankle. Apparently, this will require surgery ... so until his recovery time can be calculated, everything is kind of in limbo right now ... but he is planning on rescheduling all cancelled dates. (kk)
Tom Cuddy sent me this posting by former Journey frontman Steve Perry ...
To quote Taylor Swift, they are apparently never, ever getting back together.
I would imagine Bobby Troup who wrote "Route 66" is in the Illinois Route 66 Rock and Roll museum?
>>>Did anybody really buy these things?!?!? (kk)
Buell responds!
AND for the convenience of enjoying that first cigarette of the morning ~~~
"Convience!"
"Endless supply of Cigarettes!"
"Laughter Galore!"
"Be the FIRST on your block to get one of these ... Don't be a "Number 2!"
(And no, I’m NOT pulling your chain on this one!)
CB ( which stands for "Commode Boy!" )
