>>>Where Is The Chart From??? (kk)
Kent,
You were wondering where the Go Set 40 Chart is from. It is a national chart from Australia. Fun stuff!
Best to you,
Tony Waitekus
G'day, mate!
I recognized that July 1969 chart Timmy sent in from the Australian Go-Set magazine collection. Here's the link.

In today's now seemingly common atmosphere of "Tit for Tat" actions, Chuck Buell writes ...
As read in Forgotten Hits, you commented about the song, "Old MacDonald" as sung by Jimmy Jones in 1960, and offered it up, "so others can enjoy … or cringe … right along with me!"
It brought to mind another "cringe-worthy" song, Joe Perkins' Big 1963 Hit that charted on Billboard's Hot 100 at . . . Number 76, "Little EEEfin Annie!" which I now offer up to you in retaliation!
Interesting description to the style presented here by Perkins as defined by NPR's, Jennifer Sharpe, as "a kind of hiccupping, rhythmic wheeze that started in rural Tennessee more than 100 years ago." It has also been described as a vocal technique similar to today's beatboxing, but a century older.
It's attached for your convenience! So Crank Up them Ole Speakers, Kent, put in your "anti-teeth-grinding mouth guard" and enjoy!
CB ( which stands for "Cringe-worthy Boy! )
Yep, I remember this one …
Didn’t they work this into an on-going bit on “Hee Haw”???
Actually, the one that I preferred was The Chipmunks’ version, “Eefin’ Alvin”!!!
(This one “bubbled under” … everywhere EXCEPT Billboard! Lol)
I don't know if you have heard or not, but Herb Alpert will soon be releasing a 60th Anniversary edition of the famed album, "Whipped Cream and Other Delights" ...
The album itself will be pressed on green vinyl with the Whipped Cream girl herself on the picture disc.

Now WHAT on earth would make you think that I might be interested in something like that?!?!? (kk)
