60 YEARS AGO TODAY:
2/24/65 – The Beatles begin filming their second movie, “Help” (still untitled at the time.) The working title at one point was “Eight Arms To Hold You,” which appeared on the record label of their US single “Ticket To Ride.” Filming locations for this film will include The Swiss Alps and The Bahamas. (There are worse ways to make a living!)
Also on 2/24, The Beach Boys Record “Help Me Rhonda.” The recording is actually a reworking of an album track, now being prepped as a single, which will go all the way to #1 when it is later released in April.
