6/9/66 – Elvis Presley’s new movie “Paradise, Hawaiian Style” is sneak-previewed in Memphis. It will open nationally a month later.
Also on 6/9, an American League Record was set when five Minnesota Twins players (Rich Rollins, Zolio Versailes, Tony Oliva, Don Michner and Harmon Killebrew) all homered in the 7th inning to beat the A's 9-4. They are reportedly still the only American League team to accomplish this feat.
