50 Year Flashback: February 16, 1965

This WGLI Chart from Long Island, New York, shows Reparata and the Delrons on top with their 1965 Hit "Whenever A Teenager Cries", a record that never climbed any higher than #60 on the Billboard Chart.  (It did reach #15 here in Chicago on the old WLS Silver Dollar Survey and we still hear from locals on the list who include it amongst their favorites.)

The rest of The Top Ten looks pretty standard based on the charts we've seen so far, with perhaps a slight edge to Lesley Gore's "Look Of Love" ... in fact, you'll find the rest of The Top 20 to be pretty standard radio fare for this week in '65.

British Invasion Artists seem to still have a good foothold on this chart, including the brand new release by Gerry and the Pacemakers at #34, "Ferry 'Cross The Mersey".  The Animals are also hot this week with "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood".
