1961 - The Supremes sign with Motown Records



1967 - The Rolling Stones perform a cleaned-up "Let's Spend Some Time Together" on CBS-TV's "Ed Sullivan Show" (at Ed's request)



1967 - Roy Orbison's "The Fastest Guitar Alive" movie (with Sam The Sham) premiers in New York City



1967 - The Buckinghams begin recording "Don't You Care" 



1971- Chase records "Get It On"



1974 - "Happy Days" (with the original theme of Bill Haley's "Rock Around The Clock" debuts on ABC-TV



1977 - Linda McCartney is voted one of the ten "Most Watchable Women" by The Bachelors Club




1982 - Harry Casey (KC of KC and the Sunshine Band) is partially paralyzed in a Hialeah, Florida auto crash (recovery takes a year)

2010 - Charlie Daniels suffers a mild stroke while snowmobiling in Durango, Colorado
