July 13th, 1970

"Close To You" hits the #1 spot on this week's WCFL Big Ten Countdown ... and "Make It With You" by Bread moves into the #8 position.

"O-o-h Child" and "Tighter, Tighter" continue to climb up the Top Ten ladder this week ... while Eric Burdon and War jump 13 places to land just outside The Top Ten at #11 with "Spill The Wine."

Ronnie Dyson's got a hot hit with "Why Can't I Touch You" ... it climbs from #30 to #14 this week ... a move of sixteen places!

Stevie Wonder's latest, "Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours" jumps ten spots, from #39 to #29.

I like all three of this week's debuts ... "Silver Bird" by Mark Lindsay, "I Just Can't Help Believin'" by BJ Thomas and "Cottage Cheese" by Crow.

This week's Hit Bound track, "Morning Much Better" by Ten Wheel Drive with Genya Ravan will become a bit of a cult classic for fans of this group ... and actually make The Top 20 here in Chi-Town despite only a #74 Billboard showing.
