Ozzy Osbourne has died.

(Man, they got the tribute concert together just in time!!!)

While Black Sabbath certainly had their audience in the early ‘70’s, Ozzy reached an entirely new and MASSIVE audience thanks to his reality television series “The Osbournes,” engineered by his wife, Sharon, who never gave up on him despite all his inner demons.  (He reportedly tried to kill her in 1989.  Too much alcohol consumption drove him out of his mind.  Biting the heads off bats while performing on stage probably didn’t help the situation!)

Osbourne has been sick for quite a while.  Parkinson’s Disease would have to be the most likely culprit here, but Osbourne has had numerous other health issues and surgeries over the past six or seven years that have all contributed to his overall declining health.

He truly became an icon thanks to the MTV television series ... literally a household name.  Incredibly, his death comes less than three weeks after his retirement from performance.

On July 5th, Osbourne pulled himself together and reunited with his original Black Sabbath bandmates for the first time since 2005.  (Ozzy himself hasn't been able to perform in YEARS ... so this was really quite an event!)  They called the whole extravaganza “Back To The Beginning” and it quickly became an all-star farewell concert featuring some of the biggest names in metal, including Metallica, Guns N' Roses and Steven Tyler, to name just a few.  In a passionate moment of reflection, Osbourne told the crowd that night, “I’ve been laid up for six years, and you’ve got no idea how I feel.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

Fortunately, the "Back To The Beginning" concert was filmed for theatrical release in 2026.  It is even more poignant now with Ozzy's passing.  (kk)

It looks like the Buckingham Nicks tease last week was a way of announcing the release of their 1973 album … this is the first time it has been reissued in any format … so fans can listen and hear Buckingham and Nicks two years BEFORE they joined Fleetwood Mac.

We told you that The Rolling Stones have something planned, too!

They recently posted:

“When you think the party’s over but it’s only just begun ...”
Still Rolling.

Is it news about their next record release?  Or are they going to tour Europe after all???  Or both?!?!?

Knowing The Glimmer Twins, we can probably expect a major announcement any minute now!  (lol)  kk

Be sure to check out tomorrow's post regarding a WLS Reunion happening this weekend.
