WKRP finally in Cincy?

Looks like there will soon be a legit WKRP in Cincy station. Talked with longtime Cincy friend and DJ Dusty Rhodes who said no real info yet, but someone just bought call letters there. I asked why it was not used before now and he said they already have a WKRC and it might be confusing.

I thought somebody purchased those call letters back in the late ‘80’s or early ‘90’s as a gimmick but I can’t find any evidence of that now.

I DID find, however, this recent Facebook post that backs up what Clark is saying! (kk)

8 TRACK TAPE DAY 4/11/2026

Brought back some great memories … and some frustrations as well. (Trying to rewind the tape back into the container?) Also $5.00 8 Tracks everywhere for sale.

Well, with Record Store Day the following weekend (April 18^th), I guess this makes sense (in SOME perverted sort of way!!!) I was never a fan of the 8 Track Era … chopping songs in the middle to switch to the next track/channel … VERY annoying! (kk)

Last night we watched Steve McQueen and Ali McGraw in the 1972 flick "The Getaway." I was surprised to hear Paul Williams singing "An Old Fashioned Love Song" in one scene. In fact, I don't know that I've ever heard his own studio version. It's rather Dixieland Jazzy.
