The Lovin' Spoonful win the race to have the next #1 on The Super Chart as "Daydream" beats The Righteous Brothers' "(You're My) Soul And Inspiration" to the punch to take home the honors.
The Righteous Brothers wind up in the Runners Up position while The Rolling Stones and The Beatles both take a tumble falling to #3 and #4 respectively. Meanwhile, "The Ballad Of The Green Beret" is still doing well enough to round out The Top Five.
The Young Rascals (up 10) and Paul Revere and the Raiders (up 11) are the most exciting things happening in The Top 20 this week ...
While The Beach Boys leap 32 places (from #60 to #28), recording the biggest move of the week.
The top debut of the week doesn't show up until #77 ... but it's a good one ... "A Groovy Kind Of Love" by The Mindbenders will go on to top the chart, just as its predecessor "Game Of Love" did last year ... only this time lead singer Wayne Fontana is nowhere to be found. (He quit the group back in October of last year. He never hit the US Top 100 chart again.)
