60 YEARS AGO TODAY:
5/18/66 – The Hollies record “Bus Stop”
Also on 5/18, a group called The Castiles made their first recordings at Mr. Music, Inc., in Brick Town, New Jersey. The recordings were significant because they cut two songs written and sung by their lead singer, Bruce Springsteen, “Baby I” and “That’s What You Get.” Only seven or eight test pressings were made.
