The Monkees have the #1 song in the country as "96 Tears" falls to #2. "Walk Away Renee," "Have You Seen Your Mother, Baby, Standing In The Shadow," "Poor Side Of Town" and "Dandy" continue to climb in The Top Ten.
"Rain On The Roof" jumps 21 places to land at #21 ... while "Good Vibrations" rockets up 40 places to #32 in its second week on the chart.
"Look Through My Window" moves up thirty spots to #39 for The Mamas and the Papas ... while "Who Am I" is up 27 places for Petula Clark.
The top debut this week is a bit of a novelty cut called "Winchester Cathedral" by a new band out of England called The New Vaudeville Band. It's got that 1930's megaphone sound of Rudy Vallee ... yet still maintains a very contemporary sound for the "anything goes" '60's. All indications say it's gonna be a smash!
