1/23/65 – If anybody was wondering how much Wilt Chamberlain would help The Philadelphia 76ers after he was traded there last week, their hopes were brightened after The 76ers beat The Boston Celtics today by a final score of 104 – 100.
With Wilt The Stilt all over him throughout the contest, Celtics’ Center Bill Russell missed all fourteen shots he took in this game! His only four points came off the free throw line.
The rivalry between Russell and Chamberlain would go on for years!
