The Friday Flash

I was Lou Christie's Christmas Elf for five years. I was able to work face-to-face with his caring staff but correspondence with Lou was through them. An in-person meeting to give Lou an update and greetings from other musicians was planned for a post-concert nearby. I stayed out of the way while his many fans approached him, talked and relished their time with him. After they had gone, he looked at me and said, "You waited a long time to talk to me. You have the prettiest eyes!"

INSTANT BRAIN FOG! I went blank and could not talk for what seemed like hours. Eventually I blurted out what I wanted to say in one long speedy piece of vocal communication. How he kept from laughing uncontrollably I will never understand.

Thank you, Lou.

In answer to the Lou Christie autobiography query, I can offer this:

Dear Lugee,
So now you are back where you began, and we ache. We ache because we loved you so much, as you loved us with your music.
But there is so much more to know about Lugee Sacco than Lou Christie ... and soon the world will know all that you wanted them to know. I promise that the legacy you left will be shared with the world, and that mutual love will be paid forward forever.
Be at Peace, my creative soul brother.
Your friend,
George

Just wanted to let you know that the Happy Together tour concert presentation was completely transparent tonight about who was here, who was not, and as open as possible on why.
Because the announcing is pre-recorded, the performers themselves made the announcements.
Just thought it important to let you know even before I sent my review of the concert.
And NO, I don't attribute it to me being in attendance.
Shelley
Don't sell yourself short!  I believe there is a direct correlation to our coverage pointing out the error of their ways as being disrespectful to both the artists and the fans by NOT providing full disclosure ... and I believe this is why fans are seeing a slightly  more "transparent" presentation these days.
In addition to our Forgotten Hits coverage, we also wrote to one member of each of the performing artists as well as three of the principle promoters at Paradise Artists encouraging them to address this "oversight" in a proactive manner ... and it does my heart good to know that they have.  (I also had a rather long discussion about it with Tom Cuddy, who has a WHOLE lot more clout than I do ... so maybe he helped to nudge things along a little bit as well.)
Regardless, there is NO shame in not sharing these truths with the audience, a loyal bunch who have been coming back to see what is essentially the same show every year for at least three decades now, all of which just further attests to the power of the music.  We love it!!!  (kk)

The Other Day I Was Watching The Alan Freed Movie "GO JOHNNY GO."

The Flamingos Were Singing.

Inquiring Minds Want To Know.

I Sent A Message To Terry Johnson ...

Asked Him If He Was Singing With The Flamingos In This Movie.

He Answered Back -- That's Me On The Right End Playing Guitar.

Don't You Just Love Modern Technology?

OK, my groin hurts just WATCHING this guy doing the splits!!!  (kk)
