THE SATURDAY SURVEY

The Byrds slide into the #1 spot and are now perched at the top of the charts with Bob Dylan's "Mr. Tambourine Man."  "I Can't Help Myself" slips to #2 and "Wooly Bully" falls to #3.

But the BIG Top Ten mover belongs to The Rolling Stones ... as "Satisfaction" leaps another twenty spots to #4 in only its third week on the chart.  Herman's Hermits and The Yardbirds make sure The Brits are still represented in this week's Top Ten ... but otherwise it's a pretty decidedly US chart this time around.

Other significant movers this week include "Yes I'm Ready" by Barbara Mason (#20 to #11), "Seventh Son" by Johnny Rivers (#22 to #13), "What The World Needs Now Is Love" by Jackie DeShannon (#25 to #16), "You Turn Me On" by Ian Whitcomb (which leaps a dozen places to #17), "Cara Mia" by Jay and the Americans (up an incredible sixteen places to #22), "Here Comes The Night" by Them (#44 to #28), "A Little Bit Of Heaven" by Ronnie Dove (#47 to #32), "(Such An) Easy Question" by Elvis Presley (up 32 spots to #45) and Tom Jones' latest hit, "What's New Pussycat," which climbs an incredible 42 places to #47.
