4/22/66 – “Wild Thing” by The Troggs is released in the US on both the Fontana and Atco record labels
(Interesting how the Atco label credits Troggs leader Reg Pressley with having written the song!)
Nothing could be further from the truth ...
The song was, in fact, written by Chip Taylor, author of several hit singles over the years. Sadly, we lost Chip last month ...
