8/19/66 –The Beatles are pelted with rotten fruit and firecrackers during a concert held at Mid-South Coliseum in Memphis, Tennessee; The Ku Klux Klan demonstrated outside the show and burned their records. (Is it any wonder this was the last tour they ever did?)
Yet, despite all this turmoil, they set a house attendance record for their two shows there today
