9/29/66 - The Chevrolet Camaro is introduced
Also on 9/29, for the third time in his career, Los Angeles Dodgers pitching ace Sandy Koufax records his 300th strike-out of the season.
Although currently in first place, The Dodgers have yet to clinch the National League title. With three games to go, they are currently two games ahead of The Pittsburgh Pirates and three and a half games ahead of The San Francisco Giants. They won't OFFICIALLY head to The World Series until Koufax pitches again on October 2nd to clinch the National League Pennant. He'll finish the season with 317 strike-outs.
