60 YEARS AGO TODAY:
10/1/66 - Jimi Hendrix made his first live appearance in the UK when he came up on stage and jammed with Cream at their gig at London Polytechnic. (Eric Clapton was immediately awestruck by the talented young, Black guitarist.) Hendrix would make his OFFICIAL UK live debut (as a headliner with The Jimi Hendrix Experience) about eight weeks later later on Friday, November 25th, 1966, at the Bag O'Nails Club, London.
