60 YEARS AGO TODAY:
9/28/65 – Sonny and Cher perform at a private party held at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City honoring Jacqueline Kennedy. It was at the Former First Lady's request that the duo perform. She told Cher that she and her children LOVED singing along with their records whenever they were in the car. (In all, they played for an audience of twenty ... and weren't even invited to stay for dinner!)
