The Four Tops unseat The Association and take over the top spot on this week's Super Chart.
In fact, The Top Ten is filled with bulleted hits ...
"96 Tears," "Last Train To Clarksville," "Cherry,Cherry," "Psychotic Reaction" and "Walk Away Renee" all make significant moves up the chart ... with six more hits earning bullets within this week's Top 20!
("What Becomes Of The Brokenhearted," "Have You Seen Your Mother, Baby, Standing In The Shadows," "Poor Side Of Town," "See See Rider," "Hooray For Hazel" and "Dandy" are all on the rise, with The Rolling Stones and Herman's Hermits taking top honors ... their records move up 32 and 27 spots respectively!)
And it doesn't end there!
Sitting just outside The Top 20, you'll find bulleted hits by Bobby Darin, Dusty Springfield, Carla Thomas, Sonny and Cher, Sam The Sham and the Pharaohs and Nino Tempo and April Stevens. That accounts for EIGHTEEN of the Top 30 Hits earning bullets this week!
Also on the way up:
"Go Away Little Girl" by The Happenings (#49 to #35), "The Great Airplane Strike" by Paul Revere and the Raiders (#60 to #37), "Spinout" by Elvis Presley (#56 to #42), "(You Don't Have To) Paint Me A Picture" by Gary Lewis and the Playboys (#65 to #43), "Knock On Wood" by Eddie Floyd (#63 to #46), "Fa-Fa-Fa-Fa-Fa" by Otis Redding (#73 to #50) and "Devil With A Blue Dress On / Good Golly Miss Molly" by Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels.
